Fractime — Privacy Policy

The short version: Fractime doesn't collect, transmit, or sell any of your data. There is no account, no server, and no analytics or advertising SDK in the app. Everything you do in Fractime stays on your device.

What data the app stores

Fractime keeps a local database on your device, used only to run the app itself:

Focus session history (task names, durations, timestamps) so your timer and statistics work correctly and survive an app restart.
Your grown fractal specimens (visual parameters, tags, favorites, notes).
Your app settings and preferences (theme, notification/haptics toggles, graphics quality).

None of this ever leaves your device. There is no user account, no sign-in, and no cloud sync.

What the app does not do

No analytics, crash reporting, or advertising SDKs.
No third-party data sharing of any kind — there is nothing to share, since nothing is collected centrally.
No location, contacts, camera, or microphone access.
No ads.

Permissions the app requests

On Android, Fractime requests the notification permission (POST_NOTIFICATIONS) solely to show a local notification when a focus session finishes while the app is in the background. This notification is generated entirely on-device and never involves a server or push service.

Your data, your control

Settings → Export my data lets you save a copy of everything stored in the app as a plain JSON file, which you can keep or delete as you wish. Settings → Clear all data permanently deletes everything stored in the app; this cannot be undone by the app itself, so export first if you want a backup.

Children's privacy

Fractime does not knowingly collect any personal information from anyone, including children, because it does not collect personal information from anyone at all.

Changes to this policy

If this policy ever changes — for example, if a future version of the app adds an optional online feature — this page will be updated and the "last updated" date above will change accordingly.
